Chishio (乳潮, Chishio?, lit. Milk Tide) is a parasitic mushi that seeks out a newborn to be its host and converts the mother's bodily fluids into milk for its own nourishment. As the host grows, it gives off a particular scent which encourages the growth of nearby plants. It then pushes its host to neglect sleep and gather nourishment for it to build its own strength. Once the host's energy is all used up, the Chishio leaves its host and searches for another newborn to infect.
